Hakata Guide Association is a group of volunteer guides who have learned Hakata’s history, culture, and festivals, and have mastered hospitality in order to introduce Hakata’s attractiveness in details.

Our guide will introduce Hakata to foreign visitors in English during the walking tour. Please choose one of the following four tours. It is possible to take two tours in a day.

【Tour course】* Each tour takes approximately 2 hours.

1. Zen Buddhist Temples Tour
(Hakata-Sennen-no-mon-Gate→Jotenji Temple→Myorakuji Temple→Enkakuji Temple)

2. Temples with Mysterious Legends Tour
(Tochoji Temple→Ryuguji Temple→Mangyoji Temple)

3. Festival & Traditional Art Crafts Tour
(Kushida Shrine→Hakata Machiya Folk Museum→Takayanagi Shop→Hakata Traditional Craft and Design Museum)

4. Temples and Shrine Tour
(Kushida Shrine→Tochoji Temple→Jotenji Temple→Hakata-Sennen-no-mon-Gate)

The meeting place for all tour is at the Information Center in the concourse on the first　(ground)　floor in Hakata Station.
