Over 1,100 autumn roses of 250 varieties are in their best now in Fukuoka Botanical Garden.

Autumn roses have beautiful shapes and colors as well as deep and rich aroma. An annual Autumn Rose Festival will take place around the best time to see them from October 25 (Fri) to November 10 (Sun).

During the festival, various events will be held, including “Autumn Rose Exhibition” organized by Fukuoka Rose Society, “Garden Concert”, “Commemorative Photo with GRIPPI” in the rose garden, opening of “Tokimeki Shop”, etc.

“Herb Festival” will also take place at the same time.
No admission fee will be charged on October 22 (Tue/hol), October 26 (Sat), and October 27 (Sun).

■Autumn Rose Exhibition

Various decorations and roses presented in the contest organized by Fukuoka Rose Society will be displayed.
Rose care advice services and rose seedlings are available from October 25 (Fri) to the 27 (Sun).

■Commemorative photo taking with GRIPPI

GRIPPI comes to the rose garden only on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays during the festival. *When it rains, GRIPPI comes to Hothouse Gallery instead.

■Garden Concert

Performances by a brass band club of Fukuoka Chuo High School
Two times from 11 am and from 2:30 pm on November 9 (Sat) *In case of rain, it’ll be cancelled.

■Tokimeki Shop

Baked sweets and sundry goods will be on sale. *In case of rain, it’ll be cancelled.

■Rose Café

Cookies and coffee will be sold at the rose garden observation deck only on weekdays between 2 pm and 4 pm. *In case of rain, it’ll be cancelled.
