○Fukuoka City Subway: Take the Nanakuma line to “Ropponmatsu Station” and take Exit 3 (within a short walking distance from the exit).

○Nishitetsu Bus: Get off at “Ropponmatsu” (within a short walking distance from the bus stop).

Take a bus from Hakata Station Bus Stop B, C, or D, or from the Hakata Bus Terminal 1F:
take buses bound for “Youkoudai/ Sawara Eigyosho”, “Sawara Koko”, “Shikata Danchi” or “Nokata”.

Take a bus from “Tenjin -kita, 9”, “Tenjin Core Mae, 7A” or “Tenjin Kego Jinja・Mitsukoshi Mae” take buses bound for “Sawara Eigyosho”, “Sawaradai Danchi”, “Shikata Danchi”, “Sanyo Koko” or “Nokata”.

・Basic Exhibition Room (5F) : 9:30~18:00
　* During summer holidays the Basic Exhibition Room will be open from 9:30~19:00
・Dome Theater Planetarium (6F) : 9:30~18:30
　* Fridays and Saturdays closing time for the planetarium may extend to 21:30 depending on the season.

Since the opening in October 2017 the graduate school of Kyushu University-educated astronaut Koichi Wakata has been acted as our honorary curator.

The Dome Theater Planetarium (6F), whose 25-meter diameter dome is one of the largest in Kyushu, has 220 seats arranged spaciously and its 3D digital surround system gives an extraordinary 3D appearance and realistic sensation.

The Basic Exhibition Room (5F) offers an opportunity for learning about many things: the infinite universe, our surrounding environment, technologies that support our everyday lives, structures and mysteries of life, future, etc.

There are also Science Navigation and a science-book library, Laboratory rooms for intriguing science experiments, and a multipurpose Science Hall equipped with a 4K projector where events such as lectures, seminars and theatrical performances are held.

※Robosquare (formerly located in the TNC TV Building, 2F, 2-3-2 Momochihama, Sawara-ku, Fukuoka City) has been relocated to the Basic Exhibition Room on the 5th floor of the Science Museum.
