Uminonakamichi Seaside Park
Enjoy the numerous variations of cosmos field!

“Uminonakamichi Seaside Park” is a popular recreational spot where you can access easily by train and feel nice sea breeze. In this extensive park, visitors can enjoy a variety of seasonal flowers all year round such as tulips, nemophilas, roses, canola flowers, etc. Among them, especially the cosmos blooming under the fall sunny sky is worth seeing!

Nokonoshima Island Park

It takes about 10 min. by ferry from Meinohama, Fukuoka city to get to this resort like island, Nokonoshima. “Nokonoshima Island Park” is a well-known excellent view spot as you can fully enjoy yourselves the seasonal flowers such as cherry blossoms, canola flowers, cosmos and the expanse of the sea all at once.

Cosmos is a common sight in fall season may fairly enjoy for a long period of time from early October to early November, including the last blooming.

Susenji Shimin Fureai Hiroba taken care of by locals.

This is the best place for people who want to enjoy a community-based relaxed air! It takes about 30 min. by direct train from Hakata Station to nearest station, JR Chikuhi Line “Susenji Station”, and then only a few min. walk to get to the Hiroba. You can see about 400,000 plants of cosmos flowers along the side of Nishi Kyushu Road.

The road-side cosmos flowers are planted by local farmers every year as an event of the area.

Kanzeonji Temple where you can enjoy the tone color of national treasure and the landscape of cosmos.

The cosmos field at “Kanzeonji Temple” is perfect for people who love historic walking. It’s said that Emperor Tenchi built “Kanzeonji Temple” in 746 to pray for repose of his mother’s soul.

This temple has such a long history as its name is written in The Tale of Genji and on the temple grounds, there are Notional treasure of the temple bell, the oldest one in Japan, registered in “Preserving 100 sound scape of Japan” and 5m tall of impressive statue of the Goddess of Kannon. The treasure house in which statues of Buddha were set is surrounded by cosmos fields and it creates the scenery that people can get peace of mind.

KIRIN Beer Park Fukuoka

“Beer Factory Tour”, which you can drink fresh-brewed beer as you learn more about beer, is a very popular tourist spot and the adjacent KIRIN flower garden as well! On its property of about 7 hectares, about 10,000,000 plants of brilliant cosmos blooms. Walking around the cosmos filed as you’re feeling tipsy with beer, will becomes precious memories for sure.
