The steam engine which has contributed Japan’s modernization.
Thomas Glover is the owner of Glover Garden in Nagasaki. As a businessman, he brought many news things to Japan, such as western mechanical technology. Amongst all the new ideas, especially the steam engine changed the way we live in Japan.
This exhibition is focus on the steam engine which has influenced the industrial revolution in Japan. The Glover Garden will be constructed with original size at the venue. Also, there will introduce how the steam engine works and the achievements of Thomas Glover. Please come and find out the secret of steam

■Riddles Escape game “Bring back the memory of Glover !” (Japanese only)
“Welcome to 1865. If you would like to go back, try the best to trace his memory.”
The only clue are the messages and riddles, let’s go adventure to the riddle-solving journey!
【Date】Every weekend during the exhibition, Golden Week(April 29 ~ May 5), Summer vacation(July 22~ August 26)
【Time】9:30~16:00 ※the time of riddle-solving is unlimited. You could start from any time.
【Fee】1,500 yen/1 kit ※1 kit could be applied by one person or several people.
