JR Hakata Station known as the gateway to Fukuoka City.

The station is currently under the renewal construction toward the full opening of the Kyushu Shinkansen (Bullet train) line in 2011.
Fukuoka City Tourist Information (Hakata Station General Information Center) is located in the middle of Hakata Station concourse, and provides various kinds of information from sightseeing in Fukuoka City and other regions of Kyushu, transportations in the city and JR trains to Hakata Station building, accommodations, and car rental placement services.

Here you can get tourist pamphlets in Fukuoka City and other regions of Kyushu, as well as can search updated information on Fukuoka sightseeing with ‘Yokanavi’ touch panel display.

At the tourist information (Hakata Station general information center), the staff who are fluent in English and Korean assist your needs. There is also multi-language support over the phone (in English, Korean, Chinese, German, Russian, French and Spanish), and sign language translations through the video phone available.
